If you know me very well, you might know that I’m a bit of a #crazybasketlady. I love baskets! I have baskets in nearly every room in my house, and I never feel like I have too many! Baskets are versatile, beautiful, and super helpful in keeping clutter contained and at bay. If you want to incorporate more baskets into your home, I’ve got a few ideas for you… read on!

I love a perfectly organized pantry, and one thing that’s in almost every beautifully styled pantry? Baskets! Along with jars, they’re the perfect organizing tool for your pantry and do a great job of storing fruit, veggies, snacks, and the like. You can use woven baskets, as well as wire one… just find ones that are the right size for the job and will make your life easier whenever you open your pantry.

I have already stolen this idea for my own home. Vintage (or new) locker crates are just the right size for a small collection of cookbooks. I love this look because it keeps all your cookbooks organized and together, while still displaying their pretty spines. You’ll have easy access to your cookbooks if you put the basket on a tray on your counter, or on a nearby shelf.

If you have a collection of baskets (especially if they’re vintage or pretty shapes and colors), why not display them on a shelf? They can still be used for storage, but grouping many baskets together makes it an accent area and really highlights your collection. Try hanging a few handled baskets on a wall for added texture and depth.

One can never have too many fluffy blankets and cozy pillows (at least not up here in the great white North!). So grab a big ol’ basket and fill ‘er up! These make great accents next to a guest bed or in the corner of a living room. Having a big basket of blankets on hand is so inviting, and then you don’t have to go digging through a closet once movie night rolls around.

Wire baskets are perfect for the bathroom, and can make a lovely display for your pretty toiletries. The basket will help corral your collection and keep things looking organized, while still keeping things close at hand and easy to see!
What’s your favorite use? Do you have other ideas for how to incorporate baskets into your home’s organization and decor?

I was so excited to read about your kids corner basket that you made and that Avery is enchanted by. 6 Uses!!
Ahh! This was in my spam comments folder! Don’t know why?! But yes! 6 uses! Glad she loves that little basket full of toys so much! 🙂
