Sorry if the title is misleading, but I’m not talking about Christmas today (phew!), I’m talking about FALL! I really do love this season so much… the crunch of the leaves underfoot, the crisp air, the change in wardrobe. Everything about Fall is so wonderful, except for how quickly it seems to pass every year. I often feel like I blink and then it’s over! So this year I intend to soak in every moment, and really embrace this season. Here are three things I intend to do to help me do so… I’d love to hear some of your ideas!
‘Tis the season of pumpkin spice EVERYTHING! And for good reason! Fall is a great time to embrace flavors such as pumpkin, cinnamon, apple, squash, and other cozier flavors (is that a thing? Sure, why not?!). I fully intend on drinking way too much hot apple cider and hot cocoa in the coming months, and I hope that we can make it to an apple orchard as well!
Speaking of apple orchards, Fall is the perfect time to sneak in some last minute nice-weather activities. Going on walks, visiting orchards, and going on a Sunday afternoon drive to admire the changing leaves are great ways to soak in all that Autumn has to offer. And all this outdoor time is a great excuse to break out some of the favorite Fall wardrobe staples—hello boots, scarves, sweaters, and puffy vests! How I’ve missed you all!
The changing of seasons is a great time to switch up things in your home! And with Fall comes the need for cozier textiles, warmer colors, and more layers! This is also a great time to change up the type of nature you bring into your home. Think pumpkins, gourds, and fall leaves rather than summer bouquets and plants.
I like to move from a brighter, airier aesthetic to something a bit moodier and more cozy. Adding in some darker colors, a few extra comfy throws, and some ambient lighting all help achieve this. Candles are a MUST (and bonus points if they’re pumpkin spice scented!).
Below I’ve rounded up some of my favorite things for Fall… take a look if you’d like.
These are affiliate links, which means that when you click or purchase I get a very small amount, but you don’t pay any extra… so it’s a win-win! I only include things that I would personally buy (or would buy if I had a slightly different, but still good, style) and that are on the budget-friendly side. I know that shopping is not some people’s love, so I hope to serve you well in selecting things that are both stylish and affordable. 🙂
