One space in our home that’s often overlooked when it comes to displaying art is our kitchen. For whatever reason, the kitchen just isn’t the first room that comes to mind when we have a new piece of art to hang!
But kitchens are also so often the heart of the home… so shouldn’t they be filled with beautiful things we love? Shouldn’t we be inspired while we cook? Shouldn’t kitchens feel cozy and inviting? I believe that art can do all of that (and more!), so here are three suggestions of places to display art in your kitchen.

Displaying art above your sink is the perfect solution to a sink that doesn’t have the luxury of being under a window. Just because you don’t have a view to the great outdoors while you’re doing dishes doesn’t mean you can’t have a view at all! Whether it’s one lovely piece, or a whole gallery wall like above, hanging art above your sink is the perfect place to do it if you have the space.

If your kitchen has an eat-in area, then hanging art above the table is a no-fail place for it! This is a great way to both make your eating space cozy and inviting and tie in the rest of your home decor into your kitchen. This would also be the perfect spot to hang some family portraits, as it’s a place that family gathers daily.

This spot might be a bit quirky, but it will definitely get compliments from your guests and make the hours you stand stirring pots at the stove that much happier! Putting a piece of art above your stove is a great way to add personality to your kitchen, and provides an unexpected element in your kitchen. Since this spot is a bit smaller, try adding something whimsical or funny to bring a smile to your face while you cook.
Hopefully I’ve gotten your creative juices flowing and you’ll start seeing even more ways that you can display art in your kitchen!
